I followed advice on the notice. To be on the safer side, I basically copied everything mentioned on the notice, sorted them out and put in several folers. I used my company\'s copier to do this during off hours so it cost me nothing ;). I know for a family of 2-3 persons this may...

I suggest you ask your lawyer to try to contact the interview officer directly for information about your case. The officer\'s name is on the notice that s/he gave you at the end of interview.
The interview I had on 1/31 is somewhat similar to yours in that after the interview the...

This is quite unusual. I never heard of any interview case being transferred back to service center. What did the interview officer tell you at the end of interview? Did s/he tell you the reason why s/he could not make a decision upon interview? Did you have a lawyer with you in the...

CSC will send you a transfer notice if your case gets transferred to a local office for an interview. My case got transferred on 10/11/01 according to AVM. About one or two weeks later, I received the notice.
Yes, I had my lawyer to accompany me to the interview.
Good luck.

I am not so lucky if you consider that I have been struggling for GC for over 4 yrs and my 485 is still pending even after the interview.
To request a transfer, I had a walk-in visit to Santa Ana office, told the officer I moved to Orange county and asked the officer to transfer my...

I don\'t have experience in San Diego. You can check ciba\'s site to get an idea.

In San Diego, the time to get scheduled should be less than in LA. But you need to take into account the time spent on transfer, which may not be short...
Congrats!
It seems that people who had interview will get plastic card faster. A few others on this board who had interview in San Jose also got cards within a month.
Thank you
Thank you, Apshroff. Wish you would receive interview call soon.
How did you know your case got re-transferred to SA? Did you request that, or was this done automatically because you have an address in Orange County?

It varies greatly. For me, my case got transferred in 10/01 and I received interview appointment in 12/01, which was scheduled on 01/31/02. But for most people I saw on this board and ciba\'s site, it took well over half year.
Case approved !
Two weeks after my interview, I received approval notice from LA office. More than four years of waiting finally came to an end. Thank all of you for your kind help and support.
Case details:
02/98: PD (EB2, China)
06/00: Regular LC approved
09/00: I-140 approved

No, I didn\'t change job.
No, I didn\'t change job. But my company was acquired by another company and became a subsidiary and changed name before 485 was filed. During interview, the officer asked for info about the acquisition. I gave her the company annual report and brochure. She took them...
Interview done, but waiting continues...
Apshroff, LA123, I had an interview on 01/31 at the LA office, but the officer couldn\'t adjudicate my case right away. She said she needed more time to review my case and also my background check was still ongoing(Was it supposed to be done at FP...

Instead complaining, why not spend time on learning new skills?
I have been trapped in the same company for nearly 6 yrs. Now my GC is still pending, even after the interview. But I believe I will finally get through.

LA123, did the interview officer give you a sheet of notice right after the interview? You can follow the instruction written on the notice to inquire about your case. Or better yet, if you have a lawyer, ask the lawyer to contact the officer directly. The officer\'s name is on the notice.
