    4) Can I use the police certificate I have obtained from Consulate General of Japan in LA (dated Apr 2, 2010) for the interview?

From your past postings regarding the police certificate, it sounds like its fine. But, I just want to ensure that!

Back in Feb this year, I went to the Consulate and requested for a copy of criminal record. They had me to do the finger print, and sent the information back to Japan.

Sorry for the super long explanations and throwing very complicated questions! Your response will be highly appreciated!

    3) I have a ticket for selling alcohol to minor, but later the case was dropped by police. Should I mention this during my interview?

Back to 2001 when I was working a part time job at a restaurant in LA under F-1 Visa, policy arranged a minor came in, who looked at least 30 years old, asked for a beer. I just started working there and was not trained to check for an ID when selling alcohol. My photo was taken at the scene, and was told to go to court later on. I showed up in court for my hearing, but was told to go to the cashier instead. When I approached to the cashier, they stamped “REJECT RE#XXXXXX, Sep 12, 2001” on my ticket. They said my case was dismissed, and I didn’t have to pay or do anything.

    2) Do I need to obtain a birth certificate if I was born in a country other than Japan?

I'm half Japanese, and half Chinese. I was born and raised in China before I turned to my 16th birthday. Last month, I requested a birth certificate from Consulate General of Japan in LA, showing that I was born in China. Is it enough?
My father has contacted Embassy of China in Tokyo for my birth certificate, but they refused to issue any birth document since I changed my nationality to Japan decades ago, and they couldn’t find any record about me at all. We even called the hospital I was born, they said it was too long ago before they started to computerize all the documents, so nobody can verify the information, and my record has not been saved.

Thank you for always extending your helping hands to others!

I have 4 questions that I'd like to ask you for help:

    1) What will be the chance of getting the 2NL in June?
I called KCC last Monday, they didn't provide specific information about the coming Visa Bulletin to my case, but they said since my CN is very close to the current cut off date, it's very possible. / Should I read between the lines?
    Dear Tmfl:

Thank you very much for your excellent postings throughout the year! You have no idea how powerfulf and helpful your information was to someone, who is going through the same DV process!

Since you are also a DV2010 winner from Japan, I'm wondering if I could ask you few questions regarding the required documemts for the Visa interview.
