Hello, A freind of mine went for F1 visa renewal at Kolkata for Phd. Was given 222(g) pink slip. Consulate told him that he should contact them by e-mail in 2 weeks. He sent an e-mail to them, but there is no reply. It is almost getting to be 4 weeks. What should he do?

I have the following question about a close friend of mine. He applied for canadian PR in July 2008. Got AOR in Dec 08. Just recently he checked his status online. The status online said that a " decision has been made". Does this mean that his application has been rejected. Please help.

He will not able to apply for a visa till his current visa is within 6 months of expiration. If he goes to India in December, he will be not eligible to apply before Feb 09.

F1 renewal You cannot travel till the outcome of your visa renewal becomes known. If your visa is rejected, your previous visa automatically gets cancelled.

This message is for triple citizen. The annotation does not actually say masters. That was a misquote. It says " I-20 expires Dec 06". But the I-20 it refers to is the masters I-20.His visa expires in Aug 09. Would be a huge risk to take to enter US and see if the IO lets him in if he travels...
