Your advice please.. out of job .. ead

hello friends,
my wife is due to deliver a baby in the first week of may. My boss told me that my contract will be over in two weeks. I have decided not to take any other project until my wife's delivery after analyzing all the scenarios. My question is how long can i be on vacation and won't get effected with my GC process. I am on EAD now. I am in good terms with my employer .. Your advice is greatly appreciated ..

I understand with your message that you have a job with company "XYZ" on EAD; but work for a client on a contract, and your contract is being terminated after two weeks.
If what I said is correct; taking paid vacation for any number of days with company "XYZ" should should be OK and should not hurt on your GC Process with any regard. Please disregard my openion if you have a different employment situation.

Thanks NH. I work on percentage with my GC sponser.. So i have to take an unpaid vacation. Dou you have any idea how this will effect my GC process ..
