Filed for I-485 (sponsored by job), EAD, AP: July 2001
Receipt Date: August 22nd 2001
First Finger Prints: December 2001
Then … A long wait …
Filed for 2nd EAD and AP sometime in 2002.
Filed for 3rd EAD and AP sometime in 2003.
Filed for 4th EAD and AP not too long ago (2004)
Second FP: 02/2004
RFE: 03/2004
Case Transfer to Chicago: 04/2004.
Interview Date: 08/2004 and was approved on same day.

Very simple questions were asked during the interview such as name, date of birth, address, current job.. I had only one job from my H1 to final approval. Over three years of waiting. One thing to remember: Be patience and it will happened.

Did you try senator's office to urge USCIS TO EXPIDITE YOUR CASE or did your emoployer want very badly?

I did contact senator office and it took about six months of processing after contacting senator office first time. Senator's office really helped me out in my case. Thanks Senator Durbin ...

How long will it take for Senator's office to get back?

sabiradm,

Just after seeing your advisory, I faxed my case information to Senator Durbin's office. Today I called their office, the guy working on such issues told me that it may take 30-60 days for them to get response back from the USCIS or FBI.

In your experience, it actually took how long for Senator's office to get the information, and how much could they do to speed our cases?
