hey dengdeng, how's it goin.

actually i did get hold of immigration lady at markey's office. she wrote down my details and asked me to call in a day or two. i was real busy today so couldnt call her. i'll try next week.

btw, i specifically asked her to find out whether my name check was over or whether my file was simply lost in a big pile. she said she'd try to find out.

she also explained that name check is the most frustrating as it involves 6-7 agencies and also that if it is in fact what's holding back my case then she won't be able to do much.

same reply as mine. Oh, she asked you to call her. So I misunderstood her and thought she would call me back. Okay, let me know if she get that information for you. If so, I'll ask her to ask for me again, if the security check has passed.

She did tell me she would ask about it, but she didn't. I actually don't know if she did ask about it or not, but she said VSC didn't mention the name check thing in their response.
 
in fact i did ask her if it was possible to send an expedite request to VSC. she said first she would want to see VSC's reply. but she clearly mentioned that if it turned out to be related to name check, she wouldnt be able to do much.
 
based on my previous experience, i'd say you never know. i mean the lady at kerry's office was nice too when i talked to her for the first time and she told me to contact her again if my case didnt get approved in 60 days. but as you know when i contacted that office again, they totally chose to ignore me. just as they did with Clueless123.

so i can't really say if she will send an expedite request even if the delay is not related to name check.

i am just so pessimistic at this time. let's see how it turns out.

Just to let you know, I did contacted the congressman's office in MA.
As I had some spare time, I personally visited her and she spoke to INS directly.
They told her, my case is on transit to an officer for final decision, and said she should call back in 60 days.
When asked again, the officer said, to give call in 30 days.

2 weeks back I went to congressman's office for help. A kind lady in his office called Vermont to find about my case status. She was told then, my case is in transit to officer and to contact them in 2 weeks. This week I again visited her to call up Vermont again.This time, she was told they are waiting for my FP verification and I should hear something in 60 days. When she asked the officer, if she wanted to call them in 60 days, officer replied try back in 30 days.

VSC always say call us back in 30 days, blah blah blah.
after 30 days, it's call us back in 30 days.....
 
Yeah, she called in front of me.
It seem that she knew the officer personally, for they were discussing about their family before talking about my case.
Second time, when she called, she didn't get good response. It was the std. msg. My FP is under security and I should hear in 60 days. When she asked if she can call back in Oct, officer said, try back in 30 days

Why FP under security? I thought FBI had already cleared your FP.

So your case was assigned to officer ?
 
Second time when she called, I think they were trying to make some excuse.The call too, was very short.They did verify my address.In July, my lawyer sent the form for change of his address.
I think they go by A***** instead of EAC number.
