Yet another FBI Name check problem.

Hello friends,

First of all I am really happy to see a community trying to help each other on these forums and I have read alot of things that are really helpful. I want to thank everyone that are contributing and forums admins that enabled us to share our experiences.

Here is my problem;

As you can see from my signature, my dates went really fast, NDs, RDs, biometrics dates etc.. Well, as I learned from an INFOPASS appointment for Interim EAD back in July which resulted as "NO" and confirmed at my Interview, I got stuck on FBI Name check. I couldn't have my EAD nor AP until the Interview where Immigration officer told me that he has to approve EAD and AP even without name check cleared.

Yesterday, I read alot of threads and forum topics all around immigration internet and decided to call FBI and learn my approve date or at least the date that USCIS requested for name to be checked. I started with my local FBI office then called regional, then called more national. The last phone number that I came accross was a voice mail that is saying " we are not answering your requests that are phone, fax, email, etc. " I am really unhappy with the situation and i need some answers that will at least give me some ideas.

Does any of friends here have a SOLID answer for me or that can lead me find this answer? Where can I learn this date?

Thank you for your time.

Ali,

Ali,
There is no way you can get a SOLID answer for this. You can see in my signature that I am also stuck in Name Check. In your case, since everything moved so fast, you might have got your interview too soon before USCIS receives the name check info from FBI. You might get clear in couple of months.

Hi Amishah,
Still waiting, ha... Sorry to hear that... :(
Just to let you know, my dad joined my husband in the waiting game for the name check... It has already been 3.5 years for my husband, and 1.5 years for my dad...
I hope it ends for you soon. :) For everyone who's waiting... :)

Now your dad too... Oh God!
Frankly, I don't see any sign of this ordeal to be over except you file Lawsuit. I haven't seen a single case which was pending for atleast 2-3 years and have got cleared on its own.
I know, nothing is going to change if I don't take any action. But i am just not mentally prepared for lawsuit and all that stuff.
Double Good Luck to you. :p :)

Yeah... The whole thing is just pissing me off (I guess, not enough to file a lawsuit ;) )... :D
It took me a year after the interview to get my mom's green card. The idiots were trying to convince me that she had to wait until my dad's name check was cleared since I filed for their green cards together...
Anyway, you're right, filing a lawsuit is the only way to get out of this, unless a miracle happens...

The message was for alisalih...
I know amishah...u also continue to be in agony....sufferin at the hands of the deadly "
NAME CHECK PENDING"
....

Myself ...I am frustrated to the core....

I am waiting for my namecheck clearance since my interview date was 4/13/06. I am very frustrated with no information on whether anything is being done on this.
