Folks, my EB-11 was denied after filed for one yearby my attorney. I am contacting other attorneies now. An attorney said that I need to check "yes" in I-140 form to answer " has an immigration visa petition ever been filed by or in behalf of this person" in part 4 of I-140? Does I-140 is immigration petition? Do I need to say "yes" If I say yes, does it will affect my later I-140 petition?

I heard that you don\'t need to have recommendation letters if you are applying for EB-12. Does somebody do it without letters to support? Would you please let me know if you did it? I totally confused now.
Many thanks in advance.

The attorney is right. If you are applying in a different category,
I dont see why it should.

You should have reference letters. These letter establish the fact
that your accomplishments are really significant and are not worthless, because the INS guy who looks at your case doesn\'t really
have technical knowledge in your field.
