Yes!!!! I got approved for GC!!! Finally!!

I just came home from work and decided to check my online status. It is exactly 3 months since my ND. Guess what??? My LUD says the following:


Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On August 31, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register


I just fell down on knees and started crying thanking God for this blessing. For all those waiting do not despair. i never beyong my wildest dreams thought i would get approved within 3 months. Thank yu Lord. And thanks to all who helped me thro this journey on this website.
 
Congrats! Wow if I read i right you applied at TSC right? Seems like some good things are happening at TSC finally. I am going to file there too so I am hoping it keeps on this way. Congrats again!

I had a spike of emotion when I read this. I've been seeing your posts for a while now. Good for you!!!!! Next milestone: Citizenship !!

What service center did you apply to?
 
@Gayguy, yes i filed at Texas. i know 2 other pple who filed at Texas this year and got their within 3 to 4 months. @Dave Bj, thanks alot. i know yu have seen my desperate posts. i checked my online status everyday!! i was so nervous. @tributeblinky, thanks alot. i will update my signature.
 
To think i was gonna pay a lawyer about three thousand dollars to apply for my GC!!! Thanks to this website everyone walked me thro every step.

I've been running Texas receipt numbers on the USCIS website. People are getting approved as early as 45 days after receipt date (don't know if they're asylees though). This is sick, times have really changed !!
 
UDATE:

I received the Welcome notice in the mail yesterday (Saturday). It says; WELCOME TO UNITED STATES and that my card will expire in 10yrs from now and i should receive the actual card in the mail withing 3 weeks.
 
UPDATE:

Today, September 11th 2009, I received my plastic greencard. It is official. The journey is over for now until June, 2013. I live in Florida where we only get one year DL as asylee. I cannot wait to go shove my GC in their faces and demand a DL that last more that a year!!!
 
Congratulations my friend. I am so happy for you. Enjoy your new status. It looks like I am just a few days behind you in terms of processing so I hope mine is coming next week. Again, CONGRATULATIONS!!!
