I sent in my N-400 application to TSC last week of November, 2009 based on 5 years residency. My DO is Baltimore. I already recieved FP notice which is scheduled on Dec. 23. Today, Dec 22, I received a yellow letter (Dated 12/15/09) in the mail from the USCIS stating that "You indicated in your application that you have been arrested. For these arrests and any other incidents in which you may have been involved, bring originals or certified copies of all arrest records and court dispositions showing how each incident was resolved." I'm surprised and shocked, not to mention, worried, receiving this Yellow Letter as neither I have ever been arrested nor I mention in my N-400 application that I've ever been 'arrested'. But I did mention about a traffic citation (Speeding Ticket) for which I paid $80.00 in April 2009.
Can anybody please explain if the above statement (especially the word 'arrest') in the Yellow letter refer to that Traffic citation which I mentioned in my N-400 application? Should I contact USCIS for any explanation? Can anybody kindly direct me how to talk to a 'live' representative at TSC over phone to get an explanation regarding this?
Thanks.
