Does it mean Interview letter will come soon or Yellow letter is just like NOA letter they send out very quick?

We've had several of these threads lately... yes, it usually means that there's activity in your file and that you'll receive an interview letter soon. I got mine several weeks after receiving a yellow letter.

I am not sure it can be that fast. The USCIS processing time shows Philadelphia office is still processing priority date June 2008 and my date
is 7 month away from that

The current processing times in Chicago is August 2008, and I applied on October 2008. As you can tell from my signature, I'm already done and became a US Citizen. I don't think those times really mean anything to us.

I received my yellow letter exactly a week before IL. So, Mr Vertigo is right- your IL should be coming soon.

From what the IO told me at my interview, the yellow letter is generated by the NBC at the point of N-400 data entry. Your case is put into the schedule-for-interview queue after this. Obviously, different DOs have different work loads and I don't know if interview letters are typically sent a fixed time after data entry regardless of the interview date or if they are held until a certain time before the date.

Well, I got my IL after 5mo I got the Yellow Letter....(no problems in the meantime)

Why do they need us to provide certified copies of minor children born in the USA? I think it is irrelevant to aplication

I don't know, but you'll need to find an expert on human cloning to help you out.

I received Interview letter first and then after a week yellow letter asking for Birth certificate for my son and My driver License.
