WTF does "pending Service consideration" mean?

I had initiated a query about my 485 case. Here is the response I got

Our computer systems show that your petition/application is still pending Service consideration

Any idea what the f#$% this means? With the new VSC dates, my case is exactly one year over due :mad:

I had also sent an expedite request. However, I haven't heard back from VSC yet.
 
Pending Service Consideration means...

They (VSC) have not adjudicated your case :eek:

I got the same answer as you on Thursday last week after 1 week.

I sent them an expedite request on Feb 22, 2005.

When I initiated 1st enquiry on Oct 26, 2002 I got similar reply. I called USCIS about the this reply and they transferred to an IIO. She told that "Pending for Serviec Consideration means that the case is with the adjudicator and its awaiting for some decision. There is no hold or problem in the case. The officer MAY awaiting some information about your case. (She did not tell what information.). Please wait for some time".

There is no other choice except to wait. There are lot of checks e.g. Social Security Check, name check, criminal records check, etc.

I also got the same response for my second enquiry on January 26th. this letter was dated February 24th. Our name check was re-initiated on Jan 27th. I guess it is through by now, and waiting to be picked up the IIO for adjudication.

Your name check was reinitiated ???? COuld you please explain further.... I though name checks is initiated only once...?? WOuld u know why was your name check done twice ???

because...

I made them re-initiate the name check by forcing them into it by 'expedite request', FBI e-mail correspondence which said there was no Name check request. Also CongressMen's office inquired with same set of documents. However name check was initiated on Jan 27th before congressmen's office inquiry which was Feb 8th. So in probability the name check procedure should be true. I will update once I get the mail from David Hardy confirming it.

In my case the name-check is done, they have received response to my RFE around 6 months ago. That is why I gave the heading "WTF"...
 
I also recd. the same Pending Service Consideration

I also initiated an enquiry on 01/25 and they sent out a letter dated 02/24 that You application is under "Pending Service Consideration". Have applied for EAD3 recently. Don't know whats it waiting on at present.....

485 RD - 04/2003
FP1 - 10/2004
LUD 02/28, 03/01 (For inquiry)

Once again WTF does this mean? My PD is Feb 2002 and USCIS is supposed to have moved the PD to Mar 2002. How the F$%^ do they move the PD to Mar 2002 if they do not have visas to process?

This does not make sense.

When did u initiate an inquiry? Becuase i think when you initiated inquiry it was still Jan 2002 so thats why you got this response. But i have a strong feeling that your approval is soon to come

I wish that was the case. I initiated the inquiry after the dates had changed. As a matter of fact, I gave reference to the Priority Dates in my application :confused:

That is why I am so mad :mad:

Not sure why they do this :eek:
