wrong w2 and stampign issues

hello,
Just had h1b trfd mth back and have the approval notice in hand of the new company .
meanwhile old company gave two w2's both of which are wrong and amt is way off than the salary which was prevailing.
in first w2 its excessively less than the salary
and in the second one its way more .
So as of now he is going to rectify it and god knows when will get the correct w2 in hand .
meanhwile spouse is going to india .while coming she will be need to get the stamping done .she will be having paystubs of the current company all all other docmuments .however if they ask for 2004 W2 which one should she show (assuming till then we don't get the correct one )????

if she shows the one with less amt they might think the h1b holder was on bench last yr which was not the case and if she shows the one with greater amt is there any wrong doing involved ? we dont even know which copy as of now thr iRS has as final W2.is there any connection btwn the consulate and the irs .do they verify in detail which amt is correct etc etc ???

what are the options ? hoping to get some suggetsions

hello there,

if the two w2s are from the same employer, there is no need to worry.. If total amount of both w2s is greater than or equal to the prevailing wage mentioned on your LCA, you should be more than fine.
