I am in the process of applying GC for my mom as I got my Citizen ship recently. I have my birth Certificate( I am sponsoring my mom. The issues are in my birth certificate, not my mom's), which has the following issues ...
-- Birth is not registered with in 1 year, but after around 25 yrs.
-- It has a spelling mistake (one letter) in my name
-- My father's name is has abberiviated last name , but but complete first and last names
-- No last name for my mom
So what are my options now.
--Should I get this birth certificate get it corrected back in Inida or Can I get it done at Indian Consulate in San Francisco?
-- I have an affidavit from my parents for about my birth. Is this alone sufficient ?
--or I have to get NABC from India or Indian consulate and submit that along with the affidavits of my birth given by my parents?
-- Can I get NABC from Indian Consulate , SFO
Also please ans the following ...
-- Does the birth certificate has to be registered with in 1 year of the birth?
-- Does my birth certificate has to include the parents first and last names?
What about mom's name? (maiden last name or last name obtained after marriage)
-- For parents Birht Certificate
If they dont have a BC, NABC and affidavit is sufficient?
