Wrong processing time at TSC??? + REF question

I submitted my I485 on November 2003, which was eight months earlier than the TSC processing time. Therefore, I called the 1-800 number this morning and get a chance to talk to TSC. When I told the lady (who is answering the phone) that my application was sent on Nov 2003, she told me that they are still processing the cases submitted on August 2003. I told her that the processing time on www.uscis.gov is July 1, 2004. Then she kept on saying “we are processing Aug 2003 cases” and didn’t say anything else. I feel so confused and don’t know what to do.

By the way, TSC sent me an email recently and told me that they have sent my wife a REF for her I-485 case on August 17, 2005. However, I haven’t received it after one week’s waiting. Does anybody know how long it takes for us to receive the REF after it is sent out by TSC

1.Don't take their sentence seriously.U can search the forum on this topic.what they say ,they don't mean it.
2.They are not there to help you ,they help themselves by (pretend )working for Govt.
3.U dial again and will get different answer,try till get the answer u want to hear.
4.regarding RFE,u can call them again for a copy.There is menu option I think there for RFE on 1-800.

victim_of_INS is right. I have first hand experience with this. My wife and I have called TSC several times within the span of a few days and have gotten different answers each time. We could not believe some of the answers we were given. What we have to understand is that this is a govt angency and the people who work there could care less for what happens. In fact a lot of them are probably resentful of us "immigrants" anyway. I am sure there are some good officers in there but a lot of them just want to get you of the phone so they can get back to doing nothing. So do not worry to much about what they told you on the phone. Just keep on top of the RFE ack.
