Friends,
I'm a Canadian citizen born in India. I'm presently in the US on an H1-B for the last 6 months. On my H1B, the place of birth has been mentioned as Montreal, Canada, instead of India. However, till now I have not faced any problem in getting my SSN or other government related things.
My attorney says that it is not a big thing and that I shoul dnot worry about it. Is it true?
Now I'm thinking of applying for a Green Card. Could anyone pls tell me if this mistake on H1 would cause any probem with my green card process.
What is the best way to correct this mistake?
Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks
