My PD(MAr2005) is current now and I applied for 485 on Jul 1. But the PD on my approved I140 was misprinted as Dec2008 and my 485 was rejected saying PD is not current. I did not see this misprint until the rejection, please advice as to how quickly this can be resolved so that I can still file my 485 before the PD retrogress.

Anyone been through this before, what is the quickest way out.

Do you have the approved labor certification? You need something like that showing that your PD is March 2005, and when you reapply you'll need to include that and a cover letter to point out the mistake and state what the real PD is. And strike a line through the wrong PD on the copy of the I-140 so they won't blindly use that date.

If you have the I-140 receipt notice and it has the correct PD, include that as well.

Yes I do have a approved labor cert, but i am afraid that they will reject my 485 application and ask to reapply after the I140 approval notice is fixed, which might be too late as the dates might retrogress by then. for some reason the i140 receipt notice does not have the priority date

You can actually submit a Customer Service request to request an update to your priority date on your I140. Normally USCIS responds quickly and once the PD gets fixed, then you should re-apply.
Good luck

They won't reject your I-485 if you show proof of the correct PD; they'll be able to verify the PD based on other information in their system if you bring it to their attention. Send the cover letter and the labor cert and cross out the wrong PD on the I-140 and you'll be OK. Hurry up and reapply, don't sit down worrying that they might reject it again. Meanwhile, also pursue other avenues to correct the PD so the people who will decide your I-485 in the future also won't be looking at a wrong PD.
