Wrong date on the check - returned with a printed green paper for special attention

The personal check had Dec 2012 date instead of Dec 2011.

So they returned it. In addition to I-797C, they also sent a green color paper - the paper asks to include it when resubmitting to get special attention.

All pages of N-400 & the attachment has a print along the edge - the front pas was crossed with a pen.

There is no lawyer representing.

1) Should I reprint the forms again?
2) The "green color paper" - is this going to give priority?

Any other tips?

Yes, The green paper would show them that this application had been here before and will get priority when you resubmit.

I think all the applications goes thru some kind of scanner initially, that's why the it has number prints along the edge, after the scanner, it gets checked by person if something is missing, that's why they crossed your application with a pen, means its not completed or something is missing etc.

You should print and fill the forms again and resend it with the green paper.

I was in the same situation once and I did the paperwork all over again.

Good Luck
