Man, I tell ya, this never ends. After I had caught the IIO putting the wrong A# on the other side of my FP/signature card (correct on one side, and wrong on the other side - explained in more detail in our stamping experince thread at - Sid522 "Passport Stamping Experiences" 3/17/02 11:09am), and after correcting him on that, I guess I was bonkers to think his quota of errors were done for the day, at least where I was concerned.
Well, I guess I was wrong. I never checked what date (of stamping) he entered on my stamp. Instead of entering 03/15/2002 (the actual date of our stamping) he entered 02/15/2002 (sure, a slip of the finger - yeah right - more lik the DTs). He made the same mistake on my Wife\'s stamp, but corrected it there at the last minute. For some reason I did not see what he corrected and whether he may have made the same mistake on my stamp. I just caught it today!!
Now the (manually written) date of stamping on my passport shows 02/15 and my date of approval is 03/06....WHY ME (groan)????? (I don\'t think it is as bad as it seems, but still....)
The question here, gurus, is whether it is worth it going back to my PP stamping office and showing them the error and having them correct it (if that is possible at all), or like the Beatles say, just "let it be" and travel anyways...(a part of me would love the confrontation with the INS at the POE on such a trivial issue....at least I hope it is trivial, but after such a long struggle - to get my GC - I\'d rather leave such a struggle for another day and another time).
Would love a slice of your time and mind on this issue. Your advise will be very appreciated. Sorry to be a bother.
As alway, am thankful for a place to express my frustration, voice my opinion, and ask my questions (and best of all - get some answers, even though they may be opinions). Thanks in advance....
