Wrong country of brith on GC

I recently received my green card after applying for removal of conditions on permanent residence based on marriage. The country of brith is incorrectly listed as Niger. I was born in Nigeria. My previous conditional GC had Nigeria on it. Do I need to worry about this or can I travel with my current GC? Do I have to submit an I-90 and wait for 4 months in complete suspense without a GC or can I just leave things the way they are? If I do apply for a replacement, I understand I have to send in the GC, which makes things a little more complicated if I want to travel outside the country.

You can probably travel with it as is, but you never know when an officer at the airport (including foreign airports, when you're trying to fly back to the US) will notice the discrepancy between the green card and your passport and cause a problem.

If you apply for a replacement, you can go for Infopass and get your passport stamped with an I-551 which will allow you to travel.

Before applying for a replacement, review a copy of the paperwork you sent for the I-751, to check whether you had put Niger on the form or it was USCIS' mistake.
