wrong consulate. what should I do now?

My case was sent to the wrong consulate.
What should I do now?
Do I have to contact the INS or the NVC?
How time consuming is a case to be switched from one place to another?
Appreciate any help!

I noted that an entry for sofia consulate under your name on cptracker has been made blanked out. I presume it is your case? I don\'t think INS has anything to do with correcting the problem. You should immediately contact NVC and ask them to send a file to your correct consulate. You could simultaneously ask the other consulate to forward your case to the correct consulate. If you have received your P3 you can fill it and send it to your intended consulate. The whole thing might delay your case by 3/4 weeks but by no means is something worth worrying.
