I now know I was wrong in thinking that INS would start to clean up the backlog... I really thought we would see a flood of approvals until they caught up.

I hate to say this, but I think that this process will stay slow for sometime.


Question to everyone:

Do you think we may see parallel processing, if DHS takes over all the cases with an RD/ND in 2002?

If DHS starts approving 2002 cases on Feb 15 and INS is still clearing the backlog then this may very well be good news... any ideas?

confused, frustrated, pessimistic, sad!

i just talked to imm. officer at vsc-said it will take atleast 6 mths, if not more, for jan. 485's. I think that even they are not sure what is happenning. The whole organization may be restructuring and things may get going only then!
