write to congressmen or congresswoman?

People at this forum suggesed write to congressmen regarding their case has been delayed. I thought of the same thing, but worries that INS or the congressmen will simply say it is not beyond JIT time yet, pls be patient. Does anyone hear any story about writing to congressmen helped? I mean for within JIT time case?

DO not worry. Give it a try

At the worst they will say it is within JIT time, but if you think positively, the senator could really push things through (after all we are future voters for him/her)
