Writ Mandamus Results

I filed my 485 in Aug. Becuase of a USCIS screw up, my name check request to FBI was sent in June 2004. I have been stuck since. I have been regularly contacting senators but in vain.

Should I file a Writ Mandamus? Any experiences related to name check and Writ Mandamus?

There are several successful stories of WOM (filing a lawsuit) on this forum and you can locate the threads by using "search" mode.

I can recall reading a story posted by a username "hate140delay". The title of his thread is "485 approved after filing a law suit" in the following forum: I-485 issues > 485 issues in California Service Center. I just found that his thread is on the first page of the above-mentioned sub-forum. One nice thing about "hate140delay" is s/he is very willing to help other people. Good luck!
