My brother is planning to apply for exchange program next year. Years ago (at that time I was on F-1 visa) he applied for B-1 visa and got rejected because he just graduated his high school at that time and U.S. Embassy believed that he had no proof to show that he'd go back to his home country and continue his further studies after the U.S. visit.
Now I'm a permanent resident, if he applies for J-1, would there be any negative impacts on him due to his previous denial on B-1 and the permanent resident status of his sister (me)?
