Would my open immigration case affect a new immigration case?

My dad, who is a permanent resident, petitioned for my mother and I a long time ago. My mom got approved for a visa, but she'd have to travel to Dominican Republic, our homeland so to speak. We haven't wanted to go abroad to get our visas in case we get barred from reentry.

I am 20 years old, almost 21, engaged and in love with a U.S. citizen. If he petitions for me, will the fact that I have an open case with my dad affect anything?

Let me know if you need any more details, and thank you. If you do give me advice, please state how sure you are of what you're saying. Any sources would be great.

No you can have multiple I130/petitions ,i was in similar situation with an approved I 130 from my brother before I got married .

I asked my interviewing officer if i had to do anything with the approved 130 from my brother and he said no.You can have multiple petitions and just disregard any notices i get in the future for previous petitions/130 .

But keep in mind that this is based on your previous petition having no negative issues associated with it like illlegal entry, deportation orders ,etc. .
