I was watching C-span this morning hearing Bobby Jindal in Congress.
Though born & raised in the US, would he be a voice for all immigration relief efforts being discussed here?

Perhaps people in Louisiana should contact his office. Of all the politicians, i presume he will understand the situation the best being of Immigrant origins.

I don't think it will work

harihoudini,

From all I have read, Mr. Jindal likes to keep away from these issues. I have heard from a number of people that apart from his appeareance he is no different than any other politician. Although he may support this bill, we cannot take it for granted.

Isnt Jindal a democrat? By the way he has lots of things in Lousiana to take care of after Katrina. He is only Indian by Last name. Nothing else.

Jindal is a republican, and yes it appears he is overwhelmed with several legislations for katrina/Rita relief.

As far as I know, he hasn't opined on any of the immigration proposals or the reconciliation bill.
One thing I know is he did distance himself from the Indo-US lobbyists and fund raisers after he lost his Governor's bid. He then won the congress seat.

he will not risk his position on this subject
