Would a new passport cause any problems in the interview?

does she have the photocopy of her old passport?
in the case of if the interviewer might want to cross check wth the stamps on the passport, could your friend provide additional information (such as freq flyer acct, credit card used for the trips... etc) if it is needed?
she will not have a problem of getting a new passport because she lost her old one. however, as i listed in above, interviewer could request the documents from her to show her trips which should match what she listed on n400.
