worried about ead renewal

submitted my ead renewal on feb 21 2003 and the only response from ins has been a strange looking yellow scrap of paper stating they recieved my money order of $ 88.

since i have NOT recieved any notice of action and hence dont have a eac number to check my ead renewal status...and to add to my worry it appears that the renewal fee is back to $120....is the fee difference responsible for this mess ...also do i need to send new fee of $120....or any other ideas. my present ead is valid till june 14th

Mine was applied on Feb 18th, till now I haven't received any NOTICE from INS. I don't know what's going on!..:confused:
 
If you don't hear from them after 60 days since you sent in your application, you have a right to call and they have to check it for you (they won't even bother before 60 days and will tell you to wait). You don't need to have a receipt number, they'll ask for your A# or SS. I waited like almost 3 months and since I was getting desperate (my old one was expiring meanwhile), I called and they sent the receipt to me in 2 days. So go ahaid and call the center you sent you application in (probably Nebraska, and their # is: 402/323-7830

In fact they may help even before 60 days are up. They did help me. I too did not receive a notice. I called them in two weeks. The IIO did look up my case and gave me the LIN # over phone.

The problem with receipts is due to the change in fees. Even though a $88.00 maybe valid, their systems were not capable of handling it. So either you do not get a receipt or get a line like "Fees collected elsewhere" on the receipt.

Also if you have access to your cancelled check, the LIN # are on the back.
 
NSC- Feb EAD Renewal receipt recvd on 4/11/03

I applied for EAD renewal with Nebraska on Feb 26.I got a receipt today (4-11-03)by mail

So you should all be getting receipts soon

rd for EAD - Feb26. Not received the Receipt.
I called the IIO today and the lady told me that there is a RFE sent out for printing and that I should be receiving the RFE
is a couple of weeks. She was not sure what the RFE was for.
Have to wait to see what it might be...... Fees -120 and not 88 or photo or ....................... god knows.
Any body knows ?

I have applied for renewal on Feb 25th but have not got any reciept.
I called IIO and he gave me reciept date and reciept no. and said It will take 6 months and if I have not got EAD in 90 days , I can go to local office and request for IEAD.

Same story for me, too. My EAD renewal was sent on Feb 12 th, till now I haven't received any Notice letter. However, yesterday when we called up BCIS they gave me all the information. Now, on-line status says that EAD has been apporved and sent for EAD card printing.. blah blah..

Here are the details:

EAD Renwal
RD Feb 18th
Approved last week

Don't worry, your's will be approved very soon!
 
Received the receipt for EAD renewal on Saturday (4/19/03). I had applied for EAD renewal on 2/4/03.

BTW, my renewal was approved on 4/9/2003 and I have now received my new EAD card too. Curiously, the card came a day prior (on 4/18/2003) to the arrival of the receipt notice.

Seems like they (TCS) have their mind set now on issuing those receipts, come what may!
 
could you help me with this info about your renewal??
1.- did you apply by yourself or used a lawyer?
2.- what documents you sent with you application?
3.- did you use " C 9" for the case classification?
4.- is it true that if you sent the top portion of your first approval notice (ead for 797) they will speed it up the process.

Please, help me with this info
