Has anybody have experience working with EAD and not having social security number? Is it even possible? I would appreciate any input. My wife just got her EAD, but she doesn't have social security number. How does it work?

You do not NEED a SSN for working. You need SSN for payroll and taxes (withholding and other stuff). Your wife should apply for SSN and they will give you a letter to that effect. That should suffice for new employment until you receive your card.

Go to nearest SSN office along with your wifes EAD, have her driving License & your Utility bill (as a address proof & also to get SSN card on that address) and you will get your wifes SSN# in 15 minutes...To work on EAD also needs SSN#..hope it hepls..
