I am awaiting my EAD , I already got the AP approved. My PD is current (EB2).
I have a few questions which I hope the experienced people in this board will be able help me with.
1. After getting the EAD, can I work for anyone? The employer I am with now (and who is the petitioner for me) is not doing good financially and I want to change. I know they won't hurt me by withdrawing/cancelling the process (if that is possible). I've heard people saying that if you get your EAD, you can work even in WalMart, etc...But I understand this is not true because the job description has to match what is there in my LC? Correct?
2. My H1 is also expiring soon and if I get my EAD before that I am not sure whether I should still extend my H1 status? Assuming I do renew my H1 status, and if I get a good job offer, do I have the choice whether to use my H1 or my EAD? As you know, some companies prefer greencard holders only, and for those I can use my EAD?
