What are the consequence of working when EAD renewal is pending?
Is there something like 180 days rule, that if you have work less then 180 days then it will not create any problem with 485 adjustment?
You have to have a valid EAD to work for a company while your I-140 is approved and I-485 is pending for more than 180 days. If you have aplied for the EAD renewal well ahead of time (3-4 months) chances are that you will get the approval before the current EAD expires, otherwise you can go to the local INS for emergency/intermediate EAD if the EAD application is pending for more than 90 days.
