I am on H1B (in my sixth year) and my i-140 is approved and I have applied for the 3-more years of H1b extension. Assuming the extension is approved and I get the H1b stamp on my passport, how many months in a year can I spend outside USA during this 3 year period? I plan to work remotely (outside USA) for my US employer and they are willing to completely support this including payroll to be continued in USA and I will hold a virtual address in USA. I plan to spend 3 months per year in USA and 9 months outside USA for next three years. Given that H1B does not apply outside USA so this should not be an issue. Thoughts?
