Working outside the US, when awaiting EAD and AP

Me and my wife have filed our I-140 and I-485, in September at the Vermont center. I also filed AP and the necessary travel documents. I am currently working in UK and may be here during the processing. Will this have an impact on the processing. Is is advisable to be out of the country when processing is being carried out.
