Hi,

After gettting the US citizenship if a person (originally from
India) want to work outside (in this case India) of US is it
possible? The work is going to be for 1 or 2 years.

If yes, after naturalization, how soon can it be started without
any legal issues?

In case of India (before dual citizenship is implemented) is it
required to get a work visa instead
of tourist visa for a PIO? Or getting a PIO card is enough?
Are there any pros/cons between them?

Any info is greatly appreciated. Are there any govt websites
to get more info?

Thanks a lot,
BB

You need to get a PIO card, then you can work without a Visa in India.

Q : Can a PIO card holder study or take up an employment in India?

A: Yes, a PIO card hoder does not require a “Student” visa for undertaking studies in India and similarly no employment visa for taking up employment in India. However, they will be required to fulfill other pre-requisite conditions and other formalities in connection with their studies/employment as prescribed by the concerned authorities from time to time.

As far as I know you can leave the day you get naturalized and come back after a very long time with a valid US passport and not face problems.. Am I right ?
And yes, a PIO card is the way to go until dual CZ with India becomes a reality
