Hi again,

I was offered a 6 month to 2 year research position in Italy. Does anyone have any experience with Italian or any Schengen visa or thoughts on how this might be dealt with. i still do not have my plastic and would need a visa in my RTD.

thanks!

hi

thanks for the reply. italians are very complicated and slow. I think I would just go to germany and then take a local flight or train to italy and come back to the us every few months. what do others think about it? who had experience travelling from germany around europe with no schengen visa please advise. thanks guys!

My question is that if you were offered a position..they will require a work visa as Mr Samoel pointed out. So yah you can go to italy through germany but isn't this about you working and not visiting?...and working requires a visa right?
