Work Permit Renewal

am wondering whether I should apply for renewal of my EAD permit, which is due to expire in January as I hope to get my GC approval by then.

If I dont get the GC approval by end of Dec , can I make an application for EAD renewal and based on the application continue to enjoy the status of holding a work permit ?

Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

1. EAD Should be renewed before 90days of expiration.
2. I am not sure: whether you can work with EAD Receipt, without receiving EAD Card.
 
EAD renewal

We recently got our EAD renewed by sending our application to NSC. I know some have gone to their local INS office to get their renewal EAD too.. but I have heard lots of different stories about it.

I would be very surprised if one could work with a pending appl. for EAD... but I don\'t know for sure either ways.

RD 10/13/00, ND 11/06/00, AD???
