Today I received an email that my work permit was approved yesterday 24th of August and that a card was ordered for me. I am so happy however by time the card arrives my interview will be a few days after.

Please advise what do you mean by "if you get an employment offer or something like that will help until you get approved and received your green card on the mail"
I am writing this because I have job offer but I can not take it now. I am still awaiting my EAD to arrive. What is the timeline to receive my EAD? My fingerprint was last wednesday.
Anyway, I was overstayed for 1 year. I came here with F1 visa. I got married couple months back to USC few months back. I am in the process to submit additional evidences for my case now. I just have fingerprinted last wednesday and my DO is chicago.

they are on may 8th right now, so you must wait until your date comes in. and if nothing after 30 days when your date is current, you must call.

When the status said that your EAD is approved and they order your card...means that will take around 7-10 days to arrived on the mail. And that is before your interview...so that is good. When I said that if you have a job offer, means since your EAD will be sooner than your permanent residency (if you get approved) then you can start that part first than wait until your green card gets on the mail and that will be like 2 weeks of difference between your EAD and your green card...more or less.
I said that on the assumption that your EAD will be first than your green card.

hey guys, i got the same thing. they sent me an ead card and it should be on its way. but i don't know if i should be happy or not. i've read that they weren't sending ead cards before the interview for most ppl b/c they were scheduling interviews quite early and quickly. so now that they have sent me the ead card, i feel that it will be a while before i see the interview letter. what do you guys think?

Our EAD has a LUD of August 24th but do not have a decision yet. However, Advanced Parole has been approved on the same day. It appears that things are moving really fast these days. Hopefully we will get an email about the EAD approval soon. My spouse do not really need to work right now but EAD will let her get SSN and drivers license etc. But we are so happy for the Advanced Parole because we already have our travel plan made for the end of October. Hopefully EAD will not be needed if the interview goes well.
