Work oversea after GC

If one works oversea in "AMERICAN" company after GC, can he keep the GC and apply citizenship after 5 years?

I am pretty sure you can provided it is an American based company and you are hired by the company in US and appointed to go to an overseas branch / project. Also, if i am not mistaken you need to inform INS etc and take a long term of absence and permission. Please check this as I may be wrong.

GC Work ouside.

You can work for a short time.
If you remain outside the country for a long time or quite frequently then your GC might get revoked.
