C cpDelhi Registered Users (C) Dec 5, 2002 #2 No work on H4 status in USA H4 visa is a depenedent visa. Hence you cannot work on H4 visa. You need to convert H4 to H1 visa to be able to start working in USA. H1 will be sponsored by the employer who wants you to offer a job. Thanks.
