Hi,

My name is Partho Patel. I had a query as below:-
I have applied for Canadian immigration. Once approved, is it possible to work in the USA even though the US visa may have expired?
And if possible; what about my Canadian green card status? Do I need to go every 6 months once to Canada to maintain my green card status there?
Thanking you in anticipation of your response.
Regards
Partho.

Canadian PR wont let you work in U.S. (and vice versa). In order to maintain Canadian PR you need to live in Canada every 2 out of a 5 year period (at least). Please check the Canadian Immigration Website for details.

On the other hand, to maintain U.S. PR you need to establish residency of 183 days (at least) per year.

It is possible to work in U.S. and live in Canada (to maintain the PR status), but then you need to live near U.S. border and have U.S. work visa.
