Hi,
I am a software professional with an MS in Comp Sci. The minimum requirements for my current job are a BS in Comp. Sci. and 2 years of relevant work/research experience. While doing my Masters, I accumulated 15 months of Part Time research experience through a Research Assistantship. Also, I have three months of Full Time software internship experience. In addition, I was invovled in a software internship with a company in India for 6 months which was unpaid in nature. I have also been asked by my company lawyer to verify that I will be able to produce letters from my supervisors about my previous employment and the job duties I performed there.
I have a few questions here :
1) 2 years of work experience means 2 years of Full Time work experience right? If that is the case, then I am falling short on paid work/research experience
2) Do unpaid work experiences (internships) also count as work experience for the LC application?
3) Do I need to come up with actual documents about my employment during these unpaid internships?
I tried to look up the forums and the faqs but did not come across this type of a question.
I would really appreciate your help.
