Wondering what BCIS doing after interview

I had interview on April 11th, The officer told me that I passed the english/civic test but she said hasn't made decision yet. It has been more than a month. They are not asking any more documents or sending me the oath letter yet.

I had gone to the Senator's office and they told me that INS has put my file on the FBI name check but I had my lawyer ask the interviewing officer and thier response was that they haven't made the decision on the case yet.

Who should I believe, wheather it is really on FBI name check or the Interviewing officer still wondering about the application. By the way I have not negative records.

Any help would be appreciate

may be name check is one of the reasons that they have not made the decision yet on your case. however, someone have been waiting for 2 yrs after their interviews were done.
