Without Pay for 5 months

Hi
I need to goto india for my visa revalidation (because i have to visit and join back the duty as soon as i can) .I was in US without pay for 5 months 2 years before and my last one year and the current year paystub and w2 are in perfect condition.My doubt is when i attend the interview in US Consulate what should i answer if they ask about that 5 months period without pay.Please help me this is urgent.

Hi Natarajan,

If you can avoid going to India and get a stamping done from St Louis, that is the best way to go.

If you cannot avoid going to India, then try to get a leave of absence okeyed by your employer. In addition to that, if you can show some kind of medical reason(either you or family) for your absence, it will be good.

Take all the W2's and bank statements with you.

Thank you very much. One of my friend said then its hard to show the medical bill of insurance information(If i tell sick leave).

Never lie on a visa application, if you get caught at any time you can say goodbye to US for ever.
