I won the 2021 Lottery and submitted my DS260 and certifications as requested. I then decided I didnt want to continue with the process - reasons being:
- Complicated medical history
- Didn't want to immigrate permanently
- Exhausted by the idea of packing up my life
I did a trip to the USA last year on ESTA and loved it, so I want to go back longer and complete the states I didn't get time to visit. I'm guessing the officers will see I submitted a DS260 - will this affect the outcome much? I have no desire to immigrate. My background is solid - 36 F, single, Australian, 350k usd in savings, own my own company, been to over 70 countries, 6 years as a flight attendant, and have been to America 10+ times and never overstayed.
