I am a sub-specialist medical doctor holding an Indian passport working and living in the middle east since 2014. I am the head of my department and have a golden visa where I live.
I was on a J-1 visa 2006-2007. Since returning from the US, I have always had a multiple entry B1/B2 visa (since 2008). My latest B1/B2 visa will expire in December 2027.
My brother has filed an I-130 petition for me in August 2019. As you know, it may take another 20-25 years for my file to come up for processing.
My son studies in the US and we visit him every year. I have had multiple visits to the US since 2007 where we have never stayed for more than 4 weeks.
Is there a risk that my B1/B2 visa application might be rejected in 2027? Should I ask my brother to withdraw the I-130 petition?
