Will visiting home country affect Asylum chances?

Hello,
I will be arriving in the U.S. shortly and would like to apply for Asylum there on the basis of religion. I have evidence that I was physically harmed in the past because of my religious affiliation. I have fled my country to a neighboring country for the past 7 months. However, I'd like to to visit my family there for a week or so before going to the U.S. (It's risky but I'd still like to do it) Do you think this quick visit to my home country would damage my chances of acquiring Asylum in the U.S.?

Thank you

yes it will , going to your home country for even a day means you have no fears of going back especially just before arriving in the US, i don't know how strong your case is but in any case do not go to your country

Yes, it will indicate that you don't fear going back home.

You may also have problems with "firm resettlement" in a third country, which is also difficult to overcome.

Your best bet is to consult an experienced lawyer before traveling and applying for asylum.
