Will they check your over stays with a RTD

Any body how know this please let me know:
With a RTD, when you reenter US from a third country, will IO still check your previous over or illegal stays before you were granted Aslyum or even before you applied it for more than a year? Does this apply to the 3-year or 10-year bar of reentry catagory? :(

When you re-enter in USA from a country like Canada they check your RTD for its validity. If you have obtained RTD based on asylum granted to you then your previous entries should not matter as your asylum has been approved. From RTD Immigration Officer can only tell when you had left USA and how much time has lapsed since your departure.

I came back from Germany this month.

The IO on POE checked the RTD for validity, asked me for the old I-94 (the one given me with the asylum letter approval). I had the copy of it, because didn't want to surrender the original.

They stamped the new I-94 with the "Addmited as asylee......" and let me go. No such checks as you think of were done. For them you are asylee, comming back with RTD. If the RTD is not falsified, no problems.

Hope that helps
