Will there be an end to this retrogression?

I am not trying to scare any body. But literally USCIS do not want to approve any more Indians, partly Chinese, Mexicans and people from Philippines. They want to reduce the Immigrant population in Software sector from these countries. They are fine with the floating population like H, L and B visas. If there is a truth to their Retrogression then we must have been seeing at least few people from the retrogressed countries getting approved in the last month or so. I did not see any approvals for Retrogressed country.

If we feel relieved by the reform from the recent bill that passed by the Senate Judiciary, it is no guarantee like some body else already pointed out that they will not make it to use for their convenience like Schedule ‘A’ workers etc like the last bill.

Partly because of some of this Body shopping companies fraud in Lab Sub (misuse) and because of USCIS improper handling of visa numbers like concurrent processing approvals etc made all these to work against all of us affected by retrogression.

Unless something big happens there is no solution for this. People may wait for few years before a new law like people in this country for more than 10 years legally can apply for adjustment of status etc comes up. But then again that will have a huge backlog after couple of years. It is an on going story / journey for people like us.

Take it easy. Things will happen in its way. We may have control over our brakes and accelerator but we do not have any control over our gas prices.

Wait may be longer than we all thought. At the end the real meaning of getting a GC may not be a big deal. We may not even feel happy about it. But that’s how life is now?

If this is what they are going to do, why can’t they at least renew the EAD’s and Paroles for three or five years than every year?
This will help us move on little bit more easy than this. If money is the real goal they can increase the fees for the three or five year renewal that many number of times or a little bit higher than the existing fee.

This is just to vent my frustration in this process and to open some of the other thoughts that you may or not have ever thought about.

EAD’s and Paroles for three or five years, good idea!

But realistically, USCIS do not give a damn... :(

The ball is rolling slowly. Guys keep calling and sending emails to the senators and congressman and ask them to support the Deficit Reduction Omnibus Reconciliation Act of 2005.

The 20 hour debate on this bill is expected to start from Monday and voting is expected on Wed. Let's hope that the bill pass this litmus test.
