This is another unfair practice by USCIS

By making EAD approvals valid from the date of approval and not from the date of expiry of current EAD, USCIS is squeezing us.
The processing time says 30 days to 90 days. If we apply 90 days before expiry of current EAD and get approved in 30 days, then we loose 60 days because of the overlapping of validity of current EAD and new EAD.
In my son's case, we guessed the average processing time will work and applied 60 days before the expiry of current EAD. Guess what! Even after 70 days he did not get approval! He was forced to quit his summer job because of no EAD and for iEAD he has been told to wait for 90 days to be over
